About Me
Hi, I’m Katie!
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Pennsylvania. I received my BA from the University of Delaware where I majored in interpersonal communication and minored in fine art. I received my Master’s degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and was honored to be inducted into the Alpha Eta Honor Society. I live locally with my husband and dog, Henry.

Henry is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He is both energetic and incredibly sleepy. Most Cavaliers are social and love to be around other humans and pets, and Henry is no different. He demands the attention of everyone he meets and truly LOVES people! It doesn’t matter who you are or how old you are, if you let him, he will sit on your lap and love you forever.
Henry joins me both at the office and in my telehealth sessions. He offers comfort, quiet support, distraction, and soothing to clients. He is great at communicating his needs and is helpful in understanding boundaries. He also helps my younger clients to feel a sense of competency as they learn how to work with him to perform a command. He is smart, stubborn, silly, hates baths, and LOVES to eat. He’s truly the definition of a good dog.

I am an advocate of mental health services and have found a combination of therapy, medication, mindfulness and journaling to be personally beneficial.
As an Italian American, the most important things in my life are family, friends and great food! Nothing brings me greater joy than laughing with loved ones and trying to find adventure in each day.
I am a lover of many things including crafts, traveling, baking, birding, home decor, singing, Philadelphia teams and tending to my plants. You can usually find me cuddled up with my dog while painting and listening to some classic rock or a true crime podcast.
Professional Life…
I am passionate about working with kids, teens, parents, and adult women. I work primarily with clients who are struggling with anxiety, ADHD, self-esteem, family relationship issues, childhood issues, body image/diet-culture recovery, parenting, life transitions, and ineffective communication patterns.
I believe that the most important part of therapy is feeling connected to your therapist — & so I make it a point to show up as my authentic self.
That means that I use many types of approaches in my work including: creative art techniques, mindfulness, handouts, humor and appropriate self-disclosure.
Henry never leaves my side and will gladly be part of your treatment team!
I’d love to help you discover your true self and create a meaningful life.
